Beth Sandbower Harbinson Bio
Beth is the founder of Sobar® and has worked in non-profit management, fundraising, and development for 30 years. Prior to her non-profit career, she enjoyed 3 years selling and managing events for a large off-premise caterer.
Beth is committed to local efforts focused on reducing the stigma associated with alcoholism, addiction and mental illness and providing greater access to treatment resources. In 2017, her project Sobar® - a play on the words sober and bar - received funding from the Horizon Foundation and the United Way of Central Maryland.
Sobar’s mission is to provide and promote adult non-alcoholic beverages to those who cannot and choose not to drink alcohol.
Sobar hosts alcohol-free events and offers healthy, innovative non-alcoholic beverages at festivals and farmers markets.
The Sobar Secure® accreditation program provides bars and restaurants with a direct connection to consumers looking for adult non-alcoholic beverages and includes on-line staff training and a streamlined path for menu creation and sourcing products.
