New Format for 2021 EXPO

Upon conducting and reviewing exhibitor and attendee surveys and holding countless hours of discussion, the Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association Board of Directors has concluded that it would be impossible to host an in-person Expo in early March.  Rather than cancel altogether, the Association realized the importance of continuing to unite the hospitality industry and will launch the 47th Annual Spring Trade Expo in a slightly different format.  “While I am super disappointed that I will not be able to see all our loyal exhibitors in person, I must say, I’m excited to announce the alternative,” stated Expo Chair and OCHMRA Executive Director, Susan Jones.  The Association has partnered with OC Today Newspaper to produce EXPO MARKETPLACE, an easy to use, interactive online catalog highlighting new products, show specials, and designed to make sourcing simple.  In addition, Facebook Live Power Panels featuring leaders and influencers and live Q & A's are currently being planned.

Jones has been at the helm of the Expo planning for twenty-five years and further stated, “we believe this is the right direction and we appreciate the loyal support of the exhibitors, attendees, and our partners.”  In the next couple of months, more details will continue to be shared.  The annual tradeshow has been a mainstay in Ocean City and has been bringing together hospitality buyers and sellers since 1974.  Additionally, it is a main revenue source for the non-profit Association, so all support is welcomed and appreciated.

Mark your calendar for Monday, March 8th for the Facebook Live Power Panels and sign up for email updates by visiting www.oceancitytradeexpo.com.
